We received some more reading material from St. Mildred’s Lightbourn School from Oakville, ON and brand new books from the local furniture store, Wrangling River. Thanks for supporting literacy at SHSS!
In other news, the Scholastic order has come in. These new resources include the bio, chem and physics sets for grades 9-12 and the audio library (book-tape sets). They are currently stored at the back of the library where all the old career counseling materials used to be.

We’ve been very busy at the IYC and SHSS working on a publication that will receive distribution across town about the youth-elder exchange that took place mid-April. Here’s a little (and very low resolution) teaser of what to expect!
The library received a major upgrade on Friday with new couches and special coffee tables. Next week, they’ll be rearranged into cosy reading corners. Now we’ll have to see what we can do about getting a cappuccino machine.
